Ms. Doughty's practice experience encompasses a broad range of business law interests from start-up businesses and transactional business matters to intellectual property protection and enforcement.  She focuses her practice on business formation/organization and counseling clients in identifying and protecting their intellectual property.  Ms. Doughty routinely prepares, files, and prosecutes trademark and service mark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as in state and foreign jurisdictions.  She also prepares and files copyright applications with the United States Copyright Office.  Ms. Doughty additionally assists clients in negotiating the sale and transfer of intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets; represents clients in securing intellectual property licensing rights; and counsels clients regarding the selection, design, and use of trademarks and service marks.
