Mr. Routson's practice experience includes the representation of real estate buyers, sellers, developers, lenders, and investors. He has extensive experience with the federal Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act and the North Carolina Condominium Act. Mr. Routson has been involved in all areas of commercial and residential developments, beginning with the initial acquisition of the property, the subsequent rezoning and subdivision of the property, the preparation of appropriate development and operation documents for the subdivision, and the sale of lots in the development. He also is familiar with development regulations, including CAMA and Corps of Engineers Wetlands Regulations. Mr. Routson is well versed in commercial construction contracts and related issues. He is very knowledgeable in negotiating and drafting commercial lease agreements and understands the issues and challenges that landlords and tenants face in attempting to protect themselves in lease transactions.
