Ms. Daniels' practice focuses on the representation of entrepreneurial, technology-based, and international businesses. In this practice she is called upon to work on such matters as mergers and acquisitions; securities transactions; the licensing, distribution, and protection of intellectual property; tax problems; and various international issues. Ms. Daniels has received the North Carolina Technology Association Top IT Support Service Provider award, Triangle Business Journal's top "Women in Business" award, and Business Leader's "Woman Extraordinaire" award. She has served as a chairman of various conferences and seminars, including Venture 2006; 2002 InfoTech; the 1994 and 2000 Conferences on Entrepreneurship; Software '98; and the 1995 Venture Capital Seminar Series. Ms. Daniels is a frequent speaker at meetings and conferences on topics ranging from angel investing to international distribution agreements and from tax structures to software licenses. She also is a frequent contributor of articles to Local TechWire, the WRAL-TV online journal. Ms. Daniels is recognized in "Legal Elite," a list of the best attorneys in the state by Business North Carolina, and has been rated by her peers as being "preeminent" in her fields of law.
