Biography

Ms. Van Der Have's practice experience encompasses separation disputes, child custody disputes, termination of parental rights, adoptions, and equitable distributions.  She is certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law.  Among her community and civic involvements, Ms. Van Der Have has been a presenter for Pro Se Custody Clinic organized by Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc., served as a volunteer judge with the North Carolina Advocates for Justice in mock trial competitions, and is the recipient of the 2002 Peace College Distinguished Young Alumnae Award.
