William S. Durr


Mr. Durr is leader of the Litigation Practice Group. His practice experience encompasses various areas of civil litigation. Mr. Durr has represented clients in a broad variety of family law matters with an emphasis on complex equitable distribution and custody cases. Other areas of his litigation practice include insurance coverage disputes, personal injury, agribusiness litigation, and appellate practice in both federal and state courts. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Durr practiced civil litigation and family law in Binghamton, New York. His experience includes several jury trials to verdict and numerous appellate arguments before the Appellate Divisions of the Third and Fourth Departments. Mr. Durr also presided over numerous jury trials in his capacity as the Acting Village Justice and Village Justice for the Village of Johnson City, New York. Since coming to North Carolina, he has also lectured to family law practitioners regarding family law matters, especially those related to complex equitable distribution Issues.
