Derek J. Allen Joins Ward and Smith, P.A.

Ward and Smith, P.A. is pleased to welcome attorney Derek J. Allen to the Firm.  Mr. Allen primarily practices in the areas of land use and development and general business litigation.  Upon joining the Firm's Asheville office, he will extend his practice to include creditors' rights matters.

Mr. Allen was recognized as the 2008 winner in the "Young Guns" category of North Carolina's "Legal Elite," published by Business North Carolina.  He also was acknowledged as a North Carolina "Rising Star" by North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine in 2009.  Mr. Allen earned his law degree from The University of North Carolina School of Law.
