Ward and Smith, P.A. is pleased to announce that attorney J. Troy Smith, Jr. was chosen by The North Carolina Bar Association ("NCBA") as a 2016 recipient of the NCBA's Citizen Lawyer Award. The honorees will be recognized at the 2016 NCBA Annual Meeting, scheduled June 23-26 at the Westin Charlotte.
The NCBA Citizen Lawyer Award was established in 2007 to recognize attorneys who provide exemplary public service to their communities. Honorees include elected and appointed government officials, coaches, mentors, and volunteer leaders of non-profit, civic, and community organizations.
Mr. Smith's practice experience encompasses a wide range of business law, from start-up businesses to complex transactional matters. He also represents health care providers, both private and institutional, and is regularly involved in government affairs, land use regulation, and municipal law matters.
