EEHS runs August 4th and 5th at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh. It brings together manufacturers and industry professionals to discuss current issues affecting their operations.
Christina will take part in a panel discussion, “Large Loads and the Impact on Energy Costs,” addressing current trends related to large loads and their effect on cost and grid reliability.
She will join fellow panelists Josh Brooks, Mark McIntire of Duke Energy, and Ben Snowden of Fox Rothschild, representing NC Public Staff, with Nick Montoni of NC State University’s Clean Energy Technology Center moderating. The panel will also address how data centers are affecting current energy costs and infrastructure needs, including how some data centers are planning to pay for power generation and infrastructure upgrades.
Christina leads Ward and Smith’s Energy + Utilities Practice. Her work focuses on regulatory compliance, energy policy, and complex utility matters, including electric and natural gas rate cases and resource planning proceedings. She is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Utilities Law.
