Attorney Marianna Baggett McMurry Elected Secretary of NCAJ’s Eminent Domain Section

Attorney Marianna Baggett McMurry has been elected to serve as Secretary of the Eminent Domain Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ), a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals in legal matters, including property disputes.

The NCAJ’s Eminent Domain Section provides legal professionals with resources, advocacy opportunities, and educational programming focused on protecting landowners' rights in condemnation cases. As Secretary, Marianna will play a key role in the section’s leadership, assisting in organizing initiatives, guiding policy discussions, and supporting the section’s mission. She will serve a one-year term. 

Marianna, a litigation attorney based in Ward and Smith's Raleigh office, has experience in condemnation law, eminent domain, and land valuation litigation. She resolves disputes for community associations and condominium boards, representing them in fiduciary litigation. She effectively manages issues such as covenant enforcement, governance disputes, and financial matters.
