Celebrate the New Cape Fear Museum at the Summer Soiree

A new chapter for the Cape Fear Museum of History and Science begins on Saturday, August 22, 2026, with the Summer Soiree, a grand-opening celebration for its new downtown Wilmington campus.

From 6 to 9 p.m., guests will be among the first to explore the new Grace Street Campus and its galleries while enjoying a signature cocktail and curated bites by Pine Valley Market. The evening will also include live music, planetarium stargazing, flowers by the Cape Fear Garden Club, and an interactive photo booth.

More than a celebration, the Summer Soiree marks a meaningful investment in Wilmington’s future. The new museum will expand access to engaging educational programming that connects visitors of all ages with history, science, and the stories of our community.

Tickets are $125 per person. The event is for guests 21 and older, with complimentary parking available at the 212 North Second Street Parking Deck.
