Genesis Torres to Present Employment Law Update at NCBA 2026 Annual Review

There has been a steady stream of labor and employment developments that employers and attorneys should be aware of.

Ward and Smith labor and employment attorney Genesis E. Torres will speak at the North Carolina Bar Association’s 2026 Annual Review, taking place October 15–16, 2026.

Genesis will present “NC Employment Law Update” on Thursday, October 15, at 2:15 p.m. Her session will cover employment-law decisions issued since November 2025 that affect North Carolina practice, along with statutory and regulatory developments that may impact employers, human resources professionals, and employment-law practitioners.

The presentation qualifies for NC State Bar Employment Law Specialization credit.

The two-day Annual Review program will also feature timely updates and discussions on topics including:
