Greenville-Pitt County Chamber to Host August Power Luncheon Featuring Legislative Delegation

Business and community leaders will gather on Tuesday, August 18, for the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber’s August Power Luncheon, featuring a recap of the 2026 North Carolina Legislative Short Session.

Attendees will hear directly from members of Pitt County’s legislative delegation about legislation, budget decisions, and policy developments from the short session that may affect local businesses, government, education, health care, and the regional economy.

Featured speakers include:

  • Representative Gloristine Brown, North Carolina House Democratic Whip, representing District 8 in Pitt County
  • Representative Timothy Reeder, M.D., North Carolina House Deputy Majority Whip, representing District 9 in Pitt County
  • Senator Kandie D. Smith, North Carolina State Senator representing District 5, which includes Edgecombe and Pitt counties

The discussion offers an important opportunity for Chamber members and guests to hear legislative perspectives firsthand, better understand the issues shaping North Carolina’s business climate, and connect with fellow leaders in the Greenville-Pitt County community.
