Lee Hodge Elected to NCBA Tax Section Council

Attorney Lee Hodge was recently elected to the North Carolina Bar Association's (NCBA) Tax Section Council for a three-year term. 

NCBA's Tax Section offers a wide variety of programs on tax issues and engages in tax policy, tax pro bono projects, and tax legislative projects. The Section meets annually with the N.C. Department of Revenue and IRS representatives in North Carolina. It maintains a strong focus on state and local tax issues while continuously looking for ways to increase its outreach while expanding efforts with ongoing projects, such as the Tax Court's pro bono initiative and N.C. military VITA training at Fort Bragg. 

Lee regularly advises clients on a broad range of business law matters, including the formation of new business and investment entities, stock purchase/sale transactions, asset purchase/sale transactions, and contract drafting and negotiation. Lee also represents clients on various tax planning matters, including 1031 exchanges, reorganizations of business entities, tax planning for mergers and acquisitions transactions, and tax planning for individuals.
