NC Commerce Secretary to Speak at June’s Virtual Power Luncheon

The Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Machelle Baker Sanders, will be the featured speaker at this month’s Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce Power Luncheon. 

The virtual event will be held on Thursday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tickets are $20, with a portion of the registration fee going toward purchasing a $10 gift card to be used at Chamber member restaurants. Sign-up today.

Governor Roy Cooper appointed Machelle Baker Sanders as Secretary of Commerce on February 12, 2021.  A native of Belhaven, North Carolina, Sanders brings extensive experience in both management and leadership to her role at Commerce.  A seasoned pharmaceutical and biotechnology executive, Secretary Sanders, earlier in her career, served as vice president of manufacturing and general manager of Biogen’s largest and most advanced manufacturing facility in Research Triangle Park (RTP).
