Wilmington Business Journal Power Breakfast Puts Election Issues in Focus

The decisions made in this year’s election will help shape the future of New Hanover County and North Carolina.

On Thursday, September 3, business and community leaders will have an opportunity to hear directly from candidates at Power Breakfast: Election 2026, hosted by the Greater Wilmington Business Journal.

Held at the Wilmington Convention Center, the event will focus on the races that will determine the direction and control of the North Carolina General Assembly and the New Hanover Board of Commissioners. Candidates will discuss issues affecting the region, giving attendees a closer look at the people seeking to represent local residents, businesses, and communities.

Breakfast and networking begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the program from 8 to 9:45 a.m. The Greater Wilmington Business Journal’s quarterly Power Breakfast series brings together leaders from across the region for timely conversations about issues that matter to the local business community.
