- My motto is, “At the end of the day, the day has got to end.” It’s a joke phrase, but I repeated it to myself in law school whenever I had a rough day. It was a good reminder that even when things are tough, the day will end, and a new day will begin where I can start again. Every day is a chance for a great day!
- The best thing about Ward and Smith is the people! Everyone you meet at Ward and Smith is warm, kind, and caring. The people are welcoming, and they go out of their way to ensure you feel supported. You can’t beat the atmosphere created by the people of Ward and Smith.
- I became a lawyer because I enjoy working with people and problem-solving. I decided to become a lawyer in sixth grade, and the dream stuck! I know sixth-grade Lauren would be extremely excited that I found a job that allows me to help people through some of their toughest moments. Childhood dreams do come true!
- One surprising thing people don’t know about me is that I cannot ride a bike. I have always been a risk-averse person. My dad insisted that I try, so I bubble-wrapped myself and waddled outside. I made it down the driveway before I told my dad that this was not for me and asked him to please add the third wheel back.
- My dream place to live would be on a Highland cow farm. Ideally, I would not have to do any of the work. I could just pet the cows and drink my coffee on my wraparound porch overlooking beautiful scenery. Cute animals, great coffee, a comfy chair, and a good book are all I need in life.
