Litigation Attorney

Mark is a litigation attorney experienced in handling all phases of the litigation process, from pre-trial preparation to appeals. His practice encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including conducting thorough legal and factual research, drafting and filing motions, and managing evidence. He is skilled in drafting trial and appellate briefs and has represented clients in matters filed in the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Federal Circuits.

Mark also co-authors Fourth Circuit Appeals, a blog covering news and opinions from the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mark served as a law clerk for the Honorable M. Hannah Lauck on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and for the Honorable Loren L. AliKhan on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a major pharmaceutical company in a federal appeal from a False Claims Act judgment.
  • Represented an oil well equipment manufacturer in a federal antitrust appeal.
  • Assisted a large social media company in pretrial preparation, including researching and drafting numerous jury instructions.
  • Filed an amicus brief in the United States Supreme Court on behalf of the Federal Circuit Bar Association related to a deadline for certain federal employees to file appeals in the Federal Circuit.
