Amy Wooten Joins Publications Subcommittee of the NCBA’s Professionalism Committee

Ward and Smith is pleased to announce that litigator Amy Wooten has been tapped to serve on the Publications Subcommittee of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Professionalism Committee.

The Professionalism Committee develops and oversees initiatives that promote ethical, respectful, and collegial practice across the legal profession. The Committee also recommends the annual recipient of the H. Brent McKnight Renaissance Lawyer Award, which honors attorneys who exemplify professional excellence, integrity, and service. The Publications Subcommittee helps support this mission by creating and disseminating resources that strengthen the culture of professionalism within the Bar.

Amy brings significant experience and insight to this role through her ongoing service chairing the Publications Subcommittee of the Tenth Judicial District Bar and the Wake County Bar Association's Professionalism Committee. As co-chair of Ward and Smith’s Insurance Counseling and Recovery Practice Group, she represents policyholders in a wide range of insurance coverage disputes. Her litigation practice also includes complex commercial matters, fiduciary duty claims, community association issues, and unfair and deceptive trade practices actions.

Beyond her client work, Amy is deeply engaged in professional service statewide. She serves on the NCBA’s Insurance Law Section Council and CLE Planning Committee, and is also a member of the Bench-Bar and Professionalism Committees of the Tenth Judicial District Bar and the Wake County Bar Association.

Please join us in congratulating Amy on her continued dedication to elevating the profession.
