Gobble Gobble! Ward and Smith Sponsors Annual Turkey Trot Fundraiser

Before you fill up on your Thanksgiving meal, burn off some calories at the 12th Annual Turkey Trot 5K and 10K, presented by the Twin Rivers YMCA.

We’re thrilled to sponsor the yearly fundraiser. All proceeds support the Y’s Annual Campaign, which gives residents an opportunity for financial assistance towards programs, such as swim lessons, Summer Day Camp, and YMCA memberships.

The races take place on Thanksgiving morning, that’s Thursday, November 28, at the Taberna Golf and Country Club in New Bern. The 5K route is perfect for families, strollers, and leashed dogs. It’s open to timed and untimed runners and walkers. The 10K is geared towards the competitive runner and is only open to timed runners.
