North Carolina Legislative Update: Three New Bills That Could Impact HOAs
May 12, 2026
Ward and Smith is proud to sponsor this month’s event, which will be held at the Hilton Greenville.
Boliek, who took office as State Auditor in January, brings a wide-ranging background to the role, including experience as a prosecutor, small business owner, attorney, and former Chairman of the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees. As Chair, he led efforts to eliminate the university’s operating deficit and launched the Board’s first Audit and Risk Committee—experience that now informs his approach to accountability and oversight at the state level.
This is a timely opportunity to hear directly from one of North Carolina’s top watchdogs on topics that matter to residents, business owners, and taxpayers alike. Whether you’re interested in government transparency, fiscal management, or just want to stay connected to what’s happening in state government, this luncheon promises valuable insight.
Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m., and the program starts at noon.
