Super Lawyers has selected litigation attorney John Martin for inclusion in its 2020 "Top 100: Super Lawyers" list for North Carolina.
The publication has recognized John, who practices law in Ward and Smith's Greenville office, as a "Super Lawyer" since 2006. This peer designation is awarded only to five percent of accomplished attorneys in each state. From this group, attorneys with the highest total point from a 12-factor evaluation of "peer recognition and professional achievements" are designated as Top 100 Super Lawyers. This is John's second time making the cut. He was honored in 2018 for his work in family law.

John's practice experience encompasses various areas of litigation. He has represented many clients in personal injury and wrongful death cases and has obtained multi-million dollar verdicts in these types of cases. Other areas of his litigation practice in Greenville and Wilmington include representation of clients in business and corporate litigation and in family law, with an emphasis on equitable distribution cases involving significant and complex assets. John is certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law.
