Madeline Lipe Williams Joins Communities In Schools of Cape Fear Board of Young Professionals

Attorney Madeline Lipe Williams has joined the Board of Young Professionals (BYP) of Communities In Schools of Cape Fear, adding her voice to a group of local professionals committed to supporting students in the greater Wilmington area.

Communities In Schools of Cape Fear connects students with the resources and relationships they need to stay in school and achieve in life. The organization’s programs range from in-school student support and restorative justice initiatives to afterschool and summer programming in Pender County. The Board of Young Professionals serves as an extension of that mission by introducing emerging professionals to CIS’s work through volunteer service, advocacy, and fundraising.

BYP members meet monthly and commit to hands-on involvement, including volunteering directly with CIS students and programs and contributing to the organization’s fundraising efforts.

Madeline practices in Ward and Smith’s Wilmington office, where her work centers on community associations, business law, and land use and zoning matters. She advises homeowners association boards and individual homeowners on corporate governance, document amendments, fiduciary duties, and rule enforcement, and handles land use issues, including rezonings, special use permits, and variances. She also supports businesses and leadership teams with transactional contracts and general corporate governance.
