Media Mention: Attorney Lily Faulconer Shares Life-Changing Impact of ECU Scholarship Program

Faulconer

Attorney Lily Faulconer delivered an inspiring speech on the impact of a historic $30 million investment in the future of East Carolina University and its students.

The donation will immediately boost the school's scholarship program, increasing the award from $64,000 to over $75,000. As an alumna and scholar recipient, Lily highlighted how the program's emphasis on community within a demanding academic environment prepared her well for graduate school, her role as a Chancellor's Scholar at the University of North Carolina School of Law, and her career as an attorney. She noted that the increase in the award would be transformative for both existing and new Scholars. From the article:

"The transition to a full cost of attendance scholarship cements the scholars program as one of the most prestigious undergraduate awards in the UNC System,” Faulconer said. “Even more importantly, it allows scholars to completely immerse themselves in their educational experience, enabling them to focus on the true treasure that is being an East Carolina Pirate.” Read more.
