When asked “What trend(s) do you see emerging in your area of law that are going to be important in the years ahead?” she responded with “Remote work and AI are trends that will increasingly impact how employees and employers interact with each other. Not working together in person, combined with using AI tools to help with performance tracking, can remove the human aspect of human resources, causing challenges with culture and compliance. In addition, laws regarding noncompetes and other employment-related covenants are quickly changing across the county. Employers must take steps to adequately protect their business interests.”
