Join NACD's Leading From the Board Room: Private Company Forums

Business Group Meeting Discussion

As a proud supporter of the National Association of Corporate Directors - Research Triangle Chapter (NACD), we're excited to announce two upcoming leadership forums.

"Leading From the Board Room" is a two-day, in-person program designed for C-suite executives and directors of private companies, including venture capital and private equity-backed firms, pre-IPO and recently public companies, and growth-stage family businesses. This educational program will provide both training and first-person accounts of governance and decision-making in the boardroom that strengthen corporate leadership in these fast-changing times.

The first session, "Governing Like a Public Company (Even if You're Staying Private)," will take place on Wednesday, November 10.

Governance of private companies has become an increasingly complex job, as boards confront new enterprise risks ranging from supply chain disruption, talent acquisition and retention, data security and privacy, and more. At the same time, private companies focused on growth face a range of choices including taking on new investors or strategic partners, preparing for an IPO, and considering non-traditional financing methods such as special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs).

Part two will continue on November 11, focusing on "Current Topics in Private Company Governance."
