Hemp law attorney Tyler Russell will moderate a panel on the "Commercial Real Estate Complexities Facing North Carolina’s CBD Industry" in February.

Tyler will lead panelists Garrett Perdue, CEO, Root Bioscience, Mark Canter, Biopharma Process Director, Jacobs, and Lisa Prather, SVP, Commercial Relationship Manager, Atlantic Union Bank in a discussion on the challenges facing CBD processors projects in North Carolina, including design, construction, legal, and financial and how to propel this industry further in our state.

The North Carolina CBD market, which includes wellness, supplements, food/beverage, and skincare as well as applications for hemp in textiles and bioplastics, is forecasted to grow from a billion industry to more than $16 billion by 2026. The state currently has 16,000 acres of hemp fields, 5.5 million square feet of licensed greenhouse grow operations, and more than 1,000 licensed growers putting North Carolina in the top 10 hemp producers nationally. It's only fitting that the industry receives this type of attention.

The event will be held on Wednesday, February 5, at the PNC Arena from 11:30 a.m. to 1:05 p.m. Tickets are $50 for non-Triangle CREW members. Registrations and payment must be received by Friday, January 31, at 5 pm. Click here for more information.
