The 2018 Legal Feeding Frenzy was a massive success for Ward and Smith.
The firm's five offices raised 562 pounds and $2,815 for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. That translates into 14,893 meals for food insecure residents in our state. It's also a personal record for Ward and Smith.
Here's how the total breaks down:
- Asheville: 344 meals
- New Bern: 5,358 meals
- Greenville: 5,265 meals
- Raleigh: 3,151 meals
- Wilmington: 775 meals
Legal Feeding Frenzy is an annual food and fund drive competition between law firms and law organizations from around the state. This year, Ward and Smith joined 90 teams in the month-long fundraiser to raise more than 373,00 pounds of food. That's 66,000 more pounds of food than last year.
The competition may be over, but you can still help the more than two million North Carolinians who are at risk for going hungry. Please consider giving to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. The nonprofit can provide ten meals for every $1 donated.
