Ward and Smith Sponsors the Kirsten McDonald Memorial Charity Golf Tournament

Ward and Smith is proud to sponsor the 7th Annual Kirsten McDonald Memorial Charity Golf Tournament, also known as Play the K.

It will be held on Saturday, October 9, at the Beaufort Club Golf Course in Beaufort, NC.

Play the K was created not only to honor the life of Kirsten McDonald, who died in a tragic auto accident back in 2012 but also support the youth in Carteret County.

The yearly fundraiser benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain. So far, they are more than halfway to their goal of raising $45,000 this year. Since its inception, the Kirsten McDonald Charity Golf Tournament has raised more than $210,000 to support the non-profit’s mission of helping thousands of kids in Carteret, Craven, Pitt, Beaufort, Lenoir, Martin, and Greene Counties.
