Ward and Smith Welcomes 2026 Summer Associates

Seven law students are joining Ward and Smith as part of the firm’s 2026 Summer Associate Program.

Drawn from four law schools across North Carolina, this year’s class will spend several weeks embedded in the firm, working on real matters, learning from attorneys across practice groups, and experiencing firsthand what it means to be part of a full-service firm.

From Asheville to Wilmington, summer associates rotate through office locations and practice areas, building relationships and skills that carry well beyond the summer.
