Ward and Smith Welcomes Litigation Attorney Mary Catherine to Asheville Office

Ward and Smith is pleased to announce that Mary Catherine Baker has joined the firm, expanding client services in Western North Carolina.

Based in Asheville, Mary Catherine’s practice focuses on trusts and estates disputes, guardianships, real estate and commercial landlord-tenant matters, community association disputes, and general business litigation. She manages cases from inception through resolution, handling pleadings, discovery, court hearings, mediations, and oral arguments on motions. Mary Catherine works closely with clients to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance, maintaining consistent communication throughout the life of a case.

Mary Catherine earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Columbia College.
