What I admire most about my clients… I admire my client’s wherewithal and forthrightness to pursue legal action. It’s a major time commitment, expense, and energy expenditure to pursue litigation, and I appreciate their sense of morality, right and wrong. That’s very refreshing.
I became a lawyer because… I grew up in a household that watched investigative discovery dramas and Law and Order; we didn’t watch children’s TV. I adored those shows! Then later, in high school and college, I realized I loved writing and intellectual stimulation. So, law practice is really the culmination of all the things I enjoy.
One surprising thing people don’t know about me is… I run a book blog on Instagram that’s kind of popular. You’ll have to ask me to get the name, though! And I’m scuba certified, and my first dive was at Dry Tortugas National Park.
My favorite character(s) in fiction and why… My favorite character is Aelin Galathynius from Sarah Maas’ Throne of Glass series because she is unexpected. People view her one way, and by the end of the series, she has become something completely different. And I think the message from the way that she moved through that whole series was small acts of kindness create large ripple effects that come back, amplified.
