Ward and Smith’s Amy Wang Appointed Co-Chair of ULI Triangle Coastal Committee

Environmental attorney Amy Wang has been appointed co-chair of the ULI Triangle Coastal Committee, a group dedicated to supporting collaboration, education, and awareness around coastal development across North Carolina.

The Coastal Committee brings together professionals from across the commercial real estate industry to share insight, address coastal development challenges, and support practical solutions for sustainable and resilient coastal communities. The committee includes leaders in construction, engineering, environmental consulting, law, development, marketing, and related fields.

Amy will serve as co-chair alongside John Cheshire, Senior Business Development Manager, Carolinas, at W.M. Jordan Company. Together, they will help guide the committee’s programming and outreach efforts, working alongside fellow committee leadership to connect ULI Triangle members with timely information on coastal development trends and policy.

Amy leads the firm’s Environmental practice, where she advises clients on the regulatory aspects of coastal development, stormwater permitting, and compliance with North Carolina’s Coastal Area Management Act. Her role on the committee aligns with Ward and Smith’s ongoing work with businesses, developers, property owners, and local stakeholders navigating legal and regulatory issues affecting growth in coastal communities.

ULI Triangle’s Coastal Committee is focused on creating a unified platform for industry professionals to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships, and promote informed approaches to coastal real estate development. Through programming, discussion, and member engagement, the committee aims to increase awareness of coastal opportunities and challenges while encouraging resilient planning and responsible growth.
