Q: Why did you become a lawyer?
A: I became a lawyer because my grandfather, a lawyer and judge, was the most honest and inspiring person I ever knew. He wrote me a letter my first semester of law school that I still have. Best quote: “The law is a jealous mistress.”
Q: What is your most treasured possession?
A: My most treasured possession is an antique cameo necklace that brides in my family have worn in their weddings going back more generations than I can count. When it was passed down to me as the oldest granddaughter (I have an identical twin sister who I beat by two minutes!) I decided that it is too beautiful to save for weddings. You’ll see me wear it often, particularly on days when I need the courage and grit of the women in my family, which is LEGENDARY.
Q: One surprising thing people don’t know about me is…
A: I have won awards for live storytelling. See my work on the Monti website!
