Gavin G. Dacier

Intellectual Property Attorney, Pending Swearing-in

Gavin focuses his practice on intellectual property law at Ward and Smith. He assists clients with patent and trademark matters, including drafting patent applications, responding to office actions, and conducting prior art, patentability, and infringement analyses. Gavin also supports trademark application filings and portfolio management for clients across a range of industries.

Before joining Ward and Smith, Gavin worked as a patent extern with the SAS Institute’s patent group in Cary, North Carolina, where he conducted inventor interviews, reviewed invention disclosures, and drafted patent claims. He also gained firsthand experience with the firm’s intellectual property practice as a summer associate at Ward and Smith.

Gavin is an Eagle Scout, the highest rank achievable in the Boy Scouts of America.
