Online Liability Waiver Review

The COVID-19 virus brings to light new risks to businesses, and you need to mitigate that risk.

We can help.

Introducing the Liability Waiver Review Service from Ward and Smith

You are doing all you can to keep your employees and customers safe in the new coronavirus era. You are cleaning, changing procedures and processes, and enforcing social distancing. Still, is that enough to mitigate the risk of litigation if someone is injured at your business or institution? How comprehensive is your current waiver and release of liability? How do you need to update your standard customer or client documentation to minimize that risk?

We've developed a new online service to safely and expediently review and update your liability waiver. After we review your current waiver, we will host a half-hour video consultation to advise you of risks relating to your operations during the COVID-19 pandemic and suggest language to revise your current liability waiver to reduce those risks.

Meet with a Ward and Smith Attorney

To begin this process, you will access our proprietary and secure online platform to upload your current liability waiver and input key details. Our Liability Waiver Review Service includes a half-hour video consultation with one of our experienced litigators to review and answer questions about the waiver, and if needed, suggest revisions to mitigate your risk. Your business must be in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, or Colorado to take advantage of this review.

Process

Getting started is easy. Simply fill out the form on this page. We will email you back by the next business day to confirm that we are able to assist you.

At that time, you will be asked to review online and electronically sign an engagement agreement that explains our services and to pay for those services via a secure payment link. You will then be directed to complete an online information questionnaire and upload your existing liability waiver.

Based on the information you provide, we will review your liability waiver and be ready to discuss it with you within three business days.  We will then schedule a mutually agreeable time for a half-hour video conference with one of our attorneys to answer your questions and suggest any appropriate next steps for you to consider.

If it is determined during your conference that your legal needs are more complicated and you want to address those needs in a more comprehensive way, you may choose to engage our firm further and apply the fee already paid towards that new representation.

Fees

The cost for the Online Liability Waiver Review package, including a thirty-minute attorney consultation via video conference, is $1,500.

What's Not Included?

This Liability Waiver Review is not the same as the comprehensive liability or pre-litigation risk assessment our attorneys typically provide to our clients.  But, in these uncertain times, we are happy to provide this more limited service to help you access and reduce liability risks arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are your established legal network with offices in Asheville, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, and Wilmington, NC.
