Alex Ferri Elected to NCBA Construction Law Section Council

Alex Ferri

Construction litigation attorney Alex Ferri has been elected to serve a three-year term on the North Carolina Bar Association’s Construction Law Section Council.

She’ll also bring her insight and experience to the Section’s Ethics and Legislative Affairs Committee, two roles that align with her passion for both the construction industry and the legal profession.

Alex is no stranger to the complexities of construction law. At Ward and Smith, she represents a diverse range of industry clients, advising owners, contractors, subcontractors, and developers on a wide range of matters, including contract drafting and negotiations, dispute resolution, and litigation. Her work is backed by real-world experience—she’s also a licensed North Carolina general contractor.

The NCBA Construction Law Section brings together attorneys across the state who focus on issues like public and private contracting, construction defects, OSHA compliance, insurance and claims, and lien and bond law. The Section also leads continuing legal education (CLE) programs, publishes practice-focused content, and works to shape legislation that impacts the industry.
