Ward and Smith attorney Bill Durr has been selected to lead the Law Firm Alliance's ("LFA") Litigation Community.
He will co-chair this new position with Andrea Myers of Seltzer Caplan in San Diego. Both replace Shep Davidson of Burns & Levinson, who stepped down after five years of serving as the Litigation Community leader.
"We have some big shoes to fill. Shep is highly respected, and under his leadership, this group has become one of the most successful LFA communities," said Bill. "But Andrea and I are up to the task and look forward to building upon Shep's outstanding record."
The Litigation Community provides a forum for members to discuss best litigation practices, business development tips, as well as case law through conference calls and listserv. It encompasses several specific areas of litigation, including appellate, banking, construction, health care, intellectual property, labor and employment, and real estate.
Founded in 2000, the Law Firm Alliance is an established association of mid-size law firms from around the world. The LFA's extensive referral network brings together more than 50 firms and 2,800 attorneys throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
Ward and Smith has been an LFA member since 2018.
