Class is in session for labor and employment Emily Massey.
She will speak to a group of dental students on East Carolina University's campus on Tuesday, October 30. This is part of a reoccurring lecture given by Hillary Harrell, ECU's Student Financial Support Manager, on practice management. The goal of the class is to equip students with the best strategies and tools to develop a more successful dental business, and part of building a thriving practice is knowing about labor and employment laws. Emily will provide these soon-to-be-dentists with essential insights into issues and challenges that may happen when starting a new practice or joining an established one.
Emily's practice focuses on a wide range of labor and employment law issues, including personnel policies and handbooks, background checks, employment discrimination, and harassment, employee discipline and termination, drug and alcohol testing, and various wage and hour matters.
