Attorney Hayley Wells will be a panelist for a virtual COVID-19 Legal Roundtable, hosted by the Asheville Brewers Alliance ("ABA").
The virtual forum is for breweries who still have lingering questions and concerns regarding reopening during Phase II. Bo Carpenter with Allen Stahl + Kilbourne, Jake Farrar with the Van Winkle Law Firm, and Murphy Horne Fletcher with McGuire, Wood, and Bissett will join Hayley for the hour-long Q&A session. Topics covered include:
- How to handle employees who have medical conditions that prevent them from being able to wear a mask while working Front of House—can an employer let them go or ask them to take a leave of absence?
- Thoughts/best practices around what to do if an employee tests positive for COVID-19
- A deeper look into HB 118/COVID-19 Liability Safe Harbor
ABA's COVID-19 Legal Roundtable will be held Wednesday, July 22, from 3 - 4 p.m. It's free, but registration is required. Sign-up here, and don't forget to submit a question.
