Minorities in the Profession 1L Interview Day Returns to Ward and Smith

Ward and Smith will once again welcome the North Carolina Bar Association’s Minorities in the Profession Committee (“MIP”) for its 1L Interview Day.

The program will be held on Thursday, February 13, at the firm’s Raleigh office. This marks the second consecutive year that the firm has hosted more than a dozen law firms and corporations as they interview first-year law students from Campbell, Duke, Elon, NC Central, UNC, and Wake Forest.

Interview Day is one of many ways the Minorities in the Profession Committee strives to increase the presence of minorities in the legal profession. Ward and Smith supports that endeavor. Partnering with MIP led the firm to hire talented 1L students such as Tisha Martin, a 2019 summer associate, and Justin Hill, a 2018 and 2019 summer associate who is joining Ward and Smith full-time in September.
