Ward and Smith, P.A. is pleased to welcome Virginia S. Carter to the Firm. Ms. Carter works in the Firm's Wilmington office.
Ms. Carter has joined the Firm's Trusts and Estates Practice Group and practices in the area of estate planning and estate administration. She also represents clients in long-term care planning and guardianship matters. Ms. Carter's practice experience also includes a wide range of business law matters and corporate transactions, including advising sponsors of, and investors in, private investment funds. Prior to joining the Firm, she practiced law in New York City. Ms. Carter earned her law degree, with high honors, from Duke University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
