White Pants, Big Heart: Join the 2026 Last Chance for White Pants Gala

Summer’s grand finale is almost here, and Wilmington is getting ready to dress in its coastal best for a night of music, great food, community, and a cause that truly matters.

The 2026 Last Chance for White Pants Gala, a Black and White Coastal Gala benefiting Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Brooklyn Arts Center in downtown Wilmington.

This annual celebration brings together more than 400 supporters, local businesses, and community leaders for an evening with a purpose: helping ensure that patients and families can receive compassionate care and support, regardless of their ability to pay.

The gala raises funds for programs and services that reach families throughout the Lower Cape Fear region, including:

  • Hospice and palliative care
  • Grief and bereavement support
  • Dementia services
  • Veteran programs through We Honor Veterans
  • Charity care
  • Community outreach and education
  • Advance care planning
  • Volunteer services
  • Care center maintenance

Guests can look forward to a lively night featuring music from the Emerald Empire Band, catering by Middle of the Island Catering, a photo booth, a silent auction, and the new Premium Tequila Raffle. Whether you come prepared to dance, bid on a memorable local experience, or simply enjoy a night out with friends, there will be plenty of ways to join the fun.
