Cape Fear region residents, mark your calendar for Tuesday, April 16, if you want to learn more about HOAs or craft beer laws.
Ward and Smith attorneys will be speaking at two separate events. So here's a rundown of both:
Community association attorneys Adam Beaudoin and Allen Trask will address issues regarding key association policies and rental restrictions for planned communities in two sessions at the "Lawyer Up! Workshop." The program, hosted by the North Carolina Chapter of the Community Associations Institute, will also feature two additional forums covering association funding and parliamentary procedures survival skills. This event is tailored to board members and managers. Participants may only attend two of those four topics.
The workshop runs from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Shell Island Resort in Wrightsville Beach. Tickets are $30 for CAI-members and $40 for nonmembers. Online registration closes on April 12. Sign-up Sign-up today!
Ward and Smith is a proud sponsor of the CAI-NC's Lawyer Up Workshop.
Just a few miles down the road in Wilmington, alcoholic beverage law attorney Justin Lewis will talk all about North Carolina distribution and ABC laws at the Grain to Glass Seminar. The event is hosted by the Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance, an organization dedicated to promoting and increasing the visibility of craft beer in the Cape Fear region through education, like the seminar, and participation in community events.
The program starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Bombers Beverage Company with an overview of the three-tier system and its purpose. The seminar will also touch on the complicated laws for and against manufacturing and selling of beer. There will be time for Q&A at the end.
Tickets are $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers and can be purchased here.
