Clint D. Routson Named Real Estate Lawyer of the Year

Mr. Routson represents real estate buyers, sellers, developers, lenders, and investors in all aspects of acquisition, development, and sale of real property, including purchase and loan negotiations and documentation, rezoning and subdivision processes, the preparation of appropriate development and operation documents, and the sale or leasing of lots or units in the final phase of development.  He has experience with the federal Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act and the North Carolina Planned Community and Condominium Acts.  Mr. Routson advises clients regarding development regulations (including the North Carolina Coastal Area Management Act ("CAMA") and the U.S. Corps of Engineers Wetlands Regulations) and commercial construction contracts, disputes, claims of lien, and related issues.  He is experienced in negotiating and drafting commercial lease agreements, and he understands the issues and challenges that landlords and tenants face in attempting to protect themselves in lease transactions.
