The Community Fabric Awards is going virtual.
Ward and Smith is the presenting sponsor of this annual New Bern event, and despite the change in format, we're thrilled to support this year's online program on April 20.
The Community Fabric Awards recognizes individuals and businesses who have demonstrated outstanding initiatives to improve the community while inspiring others to do the same. Past winners for the Individual Leadership Award include Ward and Smith attorneys Troy Smith, Jr. and David Ward, Jr.
The event also honors educators for showing excellence in leadership.
Net proceeds for the online event benefit the Craven Community College Foundation, which provides financial support to students through scholarships and funding for programs, equipment, new and emerging initiatives, facilities, and other priorities on the New Bern and Havelock campuses. To date, the Community Fabric Awards has netted more than $460,000 in support of the Foundation's mission.
