Ward and Smith Welcomes Five Attorneys Across Multiple Practice Areas and Locations

Ward and Smith, P.A. is pleased to announce the addition of five attorneys who bring a wide range of experience to the firm’s litigation, creditors’ rights, business, real estate, and trusts and estates practices.

The firm is welcoming one experienced attorney to its ranks:

Peyton PaschkePeyton Paschke, a litigation attorney based in the Wilmington office, concentrates her practice on personal injury and wrongful death matters. She represents individuals and families in cases involving auto accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, product liability, and other negligence-based claims. Peyton is licensed in North Carolina.

In addition, three former Ward and Smith Summer Associates, Zach Dobbin, Justin Fontaine, and Sarah Wallace Strickland, are returning full-time as attorneys. Each is currently pending swearing-in in North Carolina:

Zachary DobbinZachary Dobbin, Raleigh office — A member of the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights practice, Zach will work with businesses, lenders, and individuals to address the complex challenges that arise in bankruptcy, restructuring, and commercial litigation matters. His practice will also encompass creditors’ rights, collections, and related litigation in both state and federal courts.

Justin FontaineJustin Fontaine, Raleigh office — As a business attorney, Justin will provide practical solutions that align with businesses' long-term goals. He will advise business owners, executives, and stakeholders on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters. His work will include assisting companies with formation, governance, and day-to-day operational issues, as well as guiding clients through mergers and acquisitions.

Sarah Wallace StricklandSarah Wallace Strickland, Wilmington office — A member of the firm's Real Estate practice, Sarah Wallace will assist clients with a wide range of transactional and development matters, including drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, reviewing title examinations, preparing title opinions, and addressing title issues. She will also help clients with loan document review and closing transactions. Her practice will include supporting real estate developers throughout the development process, from securing necessary approvals and permits to navigating project-related challenges.

Colin WilliamsAdditionally, Colin Williams, of our Wilmington office, joins the firm as a member of the firm's Trusts and Estates practice. Colin will work with individuals and families on a wide range of estate planning and fiduciary matters. His practice will include assisting clients with the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other planning documents to help preserve assets, minimize tax exposure, and achieve long-term goals. Colin is also pending swearing-in in North Carolina.
