Celebrating Campbell Law School's NBLSA Mock Trial Winners

Gold trophy with gold stars flying out of the trophy

On March 26, 2019, Ward and Smith held a luncheon at Campbell Law School in Raleigh to celebrate four extraordinary law school students.

Nichad Davis, Maurizo Lewis-Streit, Tatiana Terry, and Ashley Urquijo won the Constance Baker Motley National Trial Competition in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 16. Their win marks the school's first National Black Law Student Association championship.

We were proud to support their fantastic journey from regional winners to national champs and recently celebrated the team's success with a luncheon for not only the winners but members of Campbell Law School's Black Law Student Association.

Here are few pictures from the event, which included appearances by Ward and Smith attorneys and Campbell Law School alumni Ken Gray, Charles Ellis, Lynwood Evans, and Emily Massey. Attorneys Marla Bowman, Erica Rogers, along with the firm's Director of Attorney Recruiting, Diversity and Inclusion, Melissa Forshey Schwind, were also on hand.
