Payton Collier, Justin Hill, and Madeline Lipe joined the firm's Raleigh office. The attorneys all participated in Ward and Smith's Summer Associate Program.

Meet our New Attorneys:
Payton Collier is a member of the firm's Litigation team. She assists clients in all phases of commercial litigation, from filing an initial complaint through trial. Prior to joining Ward and Smith, Payton was an extern with the Honorable Judge John M. Tyson.

Justin Hill focuses his practice on labor and employment matters. He works with businesses, employers, and human resources professionals across the state. In 2018, he joined the program as a first-year, which marked a change for the program that was historically focused on second-year law school students only.

Madeline Lipe is a business attorney who works with businesses and their ownership and management teams on a wide variety of business transactions. She regularly assists companies with mergers and acquisitions transactions, investment transactions, business entity formations, and general corporate and contractual matters. A portion of Madeline's practice will also be devoted to advising community associations, their boards, and members.
