On March 1, Several Ward and Smith attorneys answered the call for legal help, free of charge.
The effort was part of 4ALL Statewide Service Day, which is a joint initiative by the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Foundation. For 12 hours straight, attorneys and volunteers staffed call centers around the state to answer questions and share legal information and resources to thousands of North Carolinians.
Nearly 450 volunteers answered more than 9,700 calls at six call centers in Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Greenville, Raleigh, and Wilmington. Here's a look at Ward and Smith attorneys who participated.
Bill Wolcott and Zac Lamb (not pictured) answered phones in Asheville.
Jeremy Wilson, Alex Dale, and Chris Edwards volunteered in Wilmington.
Whitney Campbell Christensen and Allen Trask worked split shifts in Raleigh.
And Peter von Stein, Lynwood Evans, Don Eglinton, John Martin, and Ryan Simmons manned the phones in Greenville.
Business Paralegal Stephanie Crosby served as a co-chair for the Greenville site.
