Ward and Smith Attorneys Join 4ALL Statewide Day of Service

On Friday, March 6, 2020, several Ward and Smith attorneys joined approximately 500 attorneys from around the state answering calls for help.

The effort was part of the North Carolina Bar Foundation's 4ALL Statewide Day of Service. For 12 hours, attorneys and volunteers staffed call centers - from Asheville to Wilmington - to answer questions and share legal information and resources for free to thousands of North Carolinians in need.

Here's a look at Ward and Smith attorneys who participated.

Trusts and estates attorney Zac Lamb (back, left corner) answered the phones in Asheville, along with labor and employment attorney Xavier Lightfoot and creditors' rights attorney Bill Wolcott (both not pictured).

Litigation attorneys Lynwood Evans, John Martin, and Don Eglinton, as well as personal injury attorney Charles Ellis, took the first shift at the Greenville call center.

Health care attorney Leigh Wilkinson, family law attorney Lauren Quinn, real estate attorney Kristen Mitcham, trusts and estates attorney Peter von Stein, and intellectual property attorney Ryan Simmons also volunteered in Greenville with Ward and Smith's paralegal supervisor Stephanie Crosby, who served as the site chair. Stephanie is pictured alongside NC Bar Association President-elect Mark Holt.

Hemp law attorney Tyler Russell (not pictured) answered calls in Raleigh while labor and employment attorney Will Oden (not pictured) took questions in the Wilmington call center. To view the full album, visit our Facebook page.

This year marks the 13th year for 4ALL Statewide Service Day.
